Prepared boards must be eked out. They are laid
with offset regarding the boards next to them making sure that the boards do
not overlap. Boards are placed parallel to the wall with a window. It can be
done t in a different way, but this way is most commonly accepted and widely
used.
Parquet
Before you begin to lay parquet, you have to
plan everything well and complete a few
important steps. Here's what needs to be done beforehand:
- Align the ground - all cracks and scratches
must be topped up
- The substrate
must be primed with priming substances - for better sticking to the
floor,
- Assess its temperature and humidity,
Expansion joints - parquet may not seal tightly
to the walls of the room. This is due to the fact that the wood under the
influence of changes in the atmosphere (humidity degree) changes its volume. Once is wider, and once it is shrinking. Dilation and hence the gap should
have a width of about 1 cm. This space will not be visible as it will be
obscured with wall strips.
Sanding the floor is a multi-stage process of floor finishing,
removal of inequalities, scratches and then polishing and preparation for the
maintenance so that the floor could
serve you well for years. Special multi-function machines – sanders and scrapers
- are used for that purpose.
A well-made treatment is the basis of successful sanding of wood flooring. In London, we use
high-quality dust free sanders, made by
Lagler Bona & Festool
Also other elements made of wood can be sanded - for example staircases - but this task is more difficult and therefore
more expensive. If the floor is uneven,
you cannot use the machines, and you
have to do everything manually. Well done sanding of the stairs gives a perfect result for
years.
Our company has over twenty years of experience
in sanding wood. We develop, increasing our experience. We are expanding our
range of services and purchase the latest tools. We always choose the best type of treatment for a particular
job.

Supplementing observed defects is a very
important element of the flooring work .
Freshly sanded floor is subjected to trowelling. Based on an special
blends, we create trowel, thanks to which we fill all the voids that sanding
has not removed and then we level floor surface. With the proper consistency
and precise dosing, we get rid of the
cracks.
After the floor dries out, there comes the time to polish it. For this
purpose, the most commonly used are low-speed machines with sanding nets.
When the floor is polished and vacuumed, we
verify the state of the entire parquet: if everything is in order, there are no
holes, cracks, cavities, and the wood is well arranged and does not move.
If one
does not see any impairments, we apply primer and after drying we polish
the floor again. At the end of parquet must be wiped with wet cloth and lacquered for proper maintenance.
Staining wooden floor is a trendy treatment, which completely
changes the character of the interior. We can do this using a stain, lacquer,
wax or wood oil. Regardless of the manner
which we choose, we must first have the parquet floor polished.
The result of staining the wood can not only
change its colour, but also highlight the grain.
Wooden floors can be treated with bleach,
darkened or given any colour chosen from the samples offered by our company.

Regular floor maintenance is necessary to keep
your floor in good order. Your floor might receive a lot of wear but it needs to look its best at all times.
After having installed or renovated the floor, it is very
important to keep it maintained - especially on high traffic areas. We offer ongoing maintenance contracts
to clients. For an average high traffic
area we would return to the premises between every 10-14 months to rotary
screen the floor and apply a freshen-up coat which extends the life of the
floor before it needs another re-sand.
We are
aware that most businesses can not undertake that kind of works in normal
working hours so we are happy to arrange on site maintenance over night or
weekends.
